Copyright and takedowns

Last updated 1 November 2026. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, write to [email protected] with the details below and we will look at it.

What this site publishes

Menus you make are generated for you and stay in your browser; we do not publish or host them. The pages we do host are our own writing and example menus, plus messages that visitors choose to send us through the menu-desk form. A takedown request is most likely to concern an example menu or a message.

What to include

  • Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
  • A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  • The exact address (URL) of the material on this site, and enough detail for us to find it.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

What happens next

We read these messages first. If a notice is complete we remove or change the material while we check it and, where possible, we tell the person who posted it. If you think material was removed by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with the same details and an explanation, and we will pass it on.

Please do not misuse this

Knowingly false notices can carry legal consequences. If you are unsure whether something infringes, ask the copyright owner or a lawyer first, or just write to us and describe the problem without a formal notice.
